What is DAC? (Danse Arts Company)
DAC (Danse Artrs Company) serves as Devine Performing Arts curriculum based program for students that are professionally minded in dance and performance fields. By participating in this program students better prepare themselves for real world performance opportunities, entertainment fields, and collegiate studies. The Danse Arts Company requires that the students audition for placement each year, maintain technique leveled courses in Ballet and Jazz, and participate in our student based dance production company, Danse Arts Company (DAC). It's run similar to a nonprofit. Parents help fundraise to support the companies expenditures for the season (costumes, theatre fees, etc..) DAC offers students an opportunity to perform in a nurturing environment that not only offers a place to grow as a dancer and performer, and build self-esteem, but focuses on professional training first and foremost! Under the guidance of Owner/Artistic Director, Debbie Devine, our mission is to provide a supportive environment for the serious dancer to broaden their skills and offer artistic excellence to the dance community at large.
Our pre-professional dance company, formed in 2006 by Leah Cordiano-Siemens, continues to provide quality artistic performances to the community in a variety of ways. They provide 2 full length dance productions per year; the annual "Winter Extravaganza" in December, and an annual Spring Show; such as "Diaries of a Dancer" 2007, "Seasons on Stage" 2008, "Peter Pan" 2009, "Wonderland" 2010, and "Fairy Tales~A tribute to Hans Christian Andersen" 2012, and "Step Right Up-DAC Spring Shocase" 2013, "Cinderella" 2014, "Spring Showcase " 2015, and our musical theatre production of "Legally Blonde Jr." 2016.
